Marshall Lester

Marshall Lester is an executive with international expertise and a proven record of launching, marketing and licensing global fashion brands.

Prior to joining the Jassin~O’Rourke Group, Marshall successfully headed companies in Europe and the United States and has considerable experience in the Far East.

As President of Diesel Jeans (USA), he successfully launched this Italian jean company into the American marketplace and this success was repeated with the highly successful U.S. launch of Ben Sherman, the U.K. mega-brand.

Marshall was also the CEO of the Apparel Division of Blenheim Group, PLC – the world’s largest multi-national trade show company. He successfully created the International Jeans Wear Show in South Beach, Miami and New York Premier Collections.

Marshall has provided consulting expertise to both European and American companies. He was instrumental at the Gap for leading them into their own hugely successful private label jeans program and provided his industry related services as well to: Faded Glory, Ball Jeans, Paul Harris and Miss Selfridge.

Marshall has also been responsible for backing several young designers such as Katherine Hamnett and Michiko Koshino and introducing them onto the International marketplace through his publicly quoted U.K. Company.

Besides the companies named above, Marshall has been involved at different times with the licensing or distribution of well known brands among which were: Walt Disney, Warner Bros., M.G. M., and Fruit of the Loom.

Marshall Lester has been an advisor to both the Clothing Export Council of Great Britain and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and successfully arranged sponsorship programs with: The French Women’s Wear Federation, The French Men’s Wear Federation, The German Women’s Wear Federation, The Italian Trade Commission and The British Knitting and Clothing Export Council.
